The Bothy Claymires Private Country Bothy near Stirling

Renovated for your comfort and located outside our little village of Buchlyvie near Stirling the Bothy Claymires is only a 15 minute drive to the Loch Lomond shores as we are situated just outside Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park.

The Bothy is a quirky getaway with a difference with a log burner and has its own private parking and garden area with views of Ben Ledi and Ben Lomond.  Definitely a place to relax and as a central base for exploring the area.

Perfectly placed for those wishing to escape with their walking boots and explore the hills and valleys or take a drive along the lochside roads.  Bring your own mountain bike or road bike along or there are cycle hire and horse riding facilities available locally.  Road cycling is very popular in the area and there are plenty of National Cycling Routes to be found.

Beautiful woodland walks can be found in Queen Elizabeth Forest Park in Aberfoyle, together with an educational centre and cafe'.  For the more adventurous, there is a Go Ape zip wire which goes through the trees in the Park.

Or you can enjoy some local fishing.  We are only a 15 minute drive away (approx. 6 miles) from the beautiful Lake of Menteith which is a great venue for fly fishing or trout fishing.

And/or golf.  There are plenty of golf courses nearby.
